STEP 1. INITIAL CONSULTATION

Through this entire process, we will discuss your ADU ideas that you would like to build, yet the initial step is to find out more about how you came about wanting an ADU, how we can bring it to life and all with you in mind.
We'll take a satellite view of the property and create a rough feasibility analysis. You'll receive a ballpark quote based on that analysis.

STEP 2. 3D DESIGN

Step 2 involves a site visit to take necessary measurements, photos, check areas of ideal placement and define the opportunity to build.
A 3D model is completed and revised and an official more detailed quote is given.

STEP 3. DRAFTING / ENGINEERING

This next step is taken once the design contract has been signed and an architectural plan has been set.
Following thereafter, the Engineering calcs will go through an analysis and receive a stamp.
A similar process will occur with the
Title 24 energy calculations; yet instead of a stamp you'll receive a certification.
We then create a solar design with plans. The last part of Step 3 is to complete any revisions that need to be made to the set of plans.  Once they are finalized, a contract with final pricing will be given.

STEP 4. PERMITTING

The permitting phase begins once you've confirmed Redwood ADU will become your ADU builder and the contract is signed with Redwood ADU as the general contractor for your project.
At that time, we'll apply for the permit and handle any revisions during the plan check.
Once the permit is ready to be issued, a cancellation waiver must be signed and permit fees
must be paid to move forward.

STEP 5. CONSTRUCTION

It's time! And the magic begins.
We bring the project to life.
Our team will schedule an installation date with you, the owner, and begin the construction phase.
We take care of all inspections and coordinate with each and every subcontractor involved, along with our expert team, through the process.
