About the Role
We are looking for a Lead Installer to assist our Construction Project Manager. Your goal is to be the “eyes and ears”, “boots on the ground” for the Construction Project Manager. A Lead Installer will perform a wide range of semi-skilled and skilled tasks including sub-journey level work in multiple trades. You will be responsible for assisting and supporting the Construction Project Manager with onsite activities such as inspections, material deliveries, and subcontractor oversight. You will also be responsible for completing certain parts of the construction (mainly interior finishing, punch list), if/when time allows. Finally, you will wrap up the work that falls between the scopes of other subcontractors, completing small tasks as needed to move the project forward.
You will serve a key role in the overall quality of the project and jobsite atmosphere. An excellent Lead Installer must be flexible, well-rounded, and comfortable traveling. The ideal candidate will have multiple years’ experience in construction, be knowledgeable about all trades, and confident completing small tasks involving each trade. Personal relationships with the customer as well as other subcontractors are key.
Requirements
Duties/responsibilities:
Assist the Construction Project Manager with inspections, going to site and putting systems on test.
Meet subcontractors onsite, go over scope of work, and answer questions they have.
Assist subcontractors if/when needed by providing materials and/or completing unfinished work.
Perform quality control checks to report back to Construction Project Manager.
Maintain cleanliness, order, and overall site quality and safety.
Deliver and stage material onsite including doors, windows, lumber, cabinets, etc.
Perform the following construction tasks: o Install batt insulation.
Install click flooring.
Install base/casing.
Hang doors.
Install and flash windows.
Install cabinets.
Interior and exterior painting.
Plumbing fixtures install (faucets, garbage disposals etc.).
Punchlist items, touch-up, etc.
Requirements:
Positive, responsible, orderly attitude to set standard for the jobsite.
Ability to complete varying general construction tasks with craftsmanship and speed.
Carpentry skills.
Ability to lift 100 lbs.
Ability to read blueprints accurately.
Knowledge of common residential codes.
A team player with leadership abilities.
Valid CA driver’s license with clear driving record.
Preferred:
Experience driving trailers and larger trucks.
Electrical experience.
Plumbing experience.
HVAC experience.
