Redwood ADU Plan Library
Well thought-out Designs which have previously been built. Improved by lessons learned from all our previous builds.
Each set of plans below has been designed and built in-house by Redwood ADU. By choosing to base your design off an existing design, you will gain a few benefits. First, if no structural changes are made there will be considerable savings on drafting/engineering. Second, with the project already built, you can see exactly what the finished project looks like. Third, with the project already being built once, costs can be accurately determined leading to decreased margins and savings on construction cost.
However, if none of these designs work, don't worry! Creating custom plan sets is what we do, and nearly all of our projects end up using a brand new set of custom plans to create the ADU that works perfectly for both budget and goals.
Custom Plan Set - Benefits
Complete Satisfaction
Do you like a compartmentalized floorplan even though most designs use an open floor plan? Do you have a special piece of furniture or decorative element that needs to be included in your design? Do you want your house to include an architectural style that sets it apart from others? If so, all these points are achievable when creating custom plans.
Flexible Design
With a custom plan, we can work backwards with a budget in mind. We can make changes where needed to help cut costs, while keeping intact main design features of the project.
Site-specific Layout
Do you have a narrow backyard, where only a narrow building will fit? Maybe you want the building to fit on your lot beside a pool with an irregular shape. Or maybe you have an amazing view you want to capitalize on by facing a window wall in that direction. All of these are possible using a custom set of plans.
Advanced Tech
If you are on the cutting edge of building technology, there is no better way to take advantage of that than creating a custom set of plans that implements the technologies you are most passionate about. Want an EV charger? Ultra-Efficient insulation and appliances? Heavy duty siding, roofing, flooring, etc.? Or maybe a heated floor or recirculating hot water lines to provide superior comfort?
