Taking advantage of a great location, the goal of this project is to build an affordable second rental unit in the backyard of the existing rental property. The design for this project was developed by the City of Sacramento, and is one of three free-to-use pre-approved ADU plans. The plan is built with flexibility in mind, allowing for large ADA compliant bathrooms and reduced setback on one side. Thoughtful features include solid pine baseboard and casing for durability, curb less shower entry to reduce fall risk, and window aprons for durability, style and storage.
